TOKYO, JAPAN – June 30, 2008 - China Nepstar Chain Drugstore Ltd. has chosen ABeam Consulting Ltd. to implement its SAP ERP systems, ABeam announced today. ABeam, a leading global provider of operational consulting services, will work with SAP China to deploy the enterprise-wide system at China’s largest drugstore chain. ABeam’s Shanghai office will lead every aspect of the project, from requirements definition to deployment.
Nepstar, with 2,000 stores across the nation, is the largest retail drugstore chain in China and has experienced rapid growth, culminating in its listing on the New York Stock Exchange in November 2007. As a result of its rapid business expansion, Nepstar has a critical need to integrate the systems of all stores company-wide, including operations and accounting systems. The scope of the project will cover key business areas including accounting, merchandizing, distribution and inventory control, and is expected to be up and running by December 2008. The implementation of the SAP ERP system is expected to lower operating costs, improve inventory management and enhance data analysis capabilities.
